My village Kiefersfelden is my home and I grew up in Kiefersfelden, as did my whole family. From grandparents to cousins, most of them still live here in the village and you can visit them spontaneously at any time without having to travel far.I also met many of my friends here in my childhood - some of their parents were already friends with our parents.
That’s exactly what makes village life
so special - the strong community. Everyone knows each other personally and everyone helps each other out. One of the best things about my village is the nature - we have the opportunity to do all kinds of activities at any time. Whether it’s hiking, cycling or skiing - because the mountains are right on our doorstep. It has also had an impact on my career, so I have always worked in Kiefersfelden and the surrounding area.
In Kiefersfelden, there are many old traditions and customs that are still carried on. For example, the various clubs - our music band or the theater clubs. The clubs support each other and help each other by organizing village festivals / beer tents / carnival parties, which is very important for maintaining village life, and these joint events strengthen the bond even more. Because they are not only there to celebrate, it is more important that people come together, have a good time and have fun, and it is also nice to see that our traditional costumes show that the old traditions are still being preserved. Every time there are festive occasions, you see everyone in our village wearing dirndls or lederhosen. This shows how deeply rooted our culture is.
As several generations of my family have been members of the Kiefersfelden Knights’ Theatergroup and many still are, my siblings and I have been involved in the Knights’ Theatergroup since we were children. It started with small roles as flower girls, which was always great fun for us as children. Later, we also took on bigger roles. It’s nice to see that young and old come together here and carry on a tradition that has existed for more than 400 years - everyone is committed to the association. On the one hand, it’s the passion for theater, on the other hand, it’s just the fun of coming together and spending time together.

We have had this mountain cabin on the Oberaudorfer Almen between Oberaudorf and Kiefersfelden since I was a child. The way up is very beautiful and not too far - it takes about 45 minutes.
We’ve always gone here with our whole family, but we can also spend time here on our own and we’ve also celebrated a few parties here.
You have both here - the peace and quiet and the seclusion from people, but also the opportunity to get together with other people, as many of our friends and acquaintances also have alpine cabins here.
