For me, Kiefersfelden is a crazy bunch of people who all have their own little story to tell. When it comes down to it, the community is there, whether it’s the voluntary fire brigade, the clubs or the neighbors. I am actually very enthusiastic about the beer tent in Kiefersfelden. I moved there when I was 13 and didn’t know this traditional celebration. With good music, the Goaslschnalzern or the traditional costume club performing. People are always very sociable here and it’s not about the beer for me, I don’t drink any anyway, if maybe a Radler. I’m interested in that special good mood when 90 percent of the people are dancing on the benches and everyone has the same vibe. Also, seeing lots of people you haven’t seen for a long time is another plus point to this good and positive vibe. I think everyone will say that where they live is the best place to be. You usually feel connected to your own village and, as they say, everyone knows everyone else. That is sometimes a curse and a blessing at the same time. And Kiefersfelden is where my heart and my children are happy, it’s my home. I wanted to leave for a while and yet I stayed.

"Kiefersfelden is like a colorful mixture of crazy stories and common bonds."
I moved to Bavaria with my parents 23 years ago. We first lived in another village nearby before moving to Kiefersfelden because my dad took over the sports home at the soccer pitch, which was empty at the time. That’s how I came to Kiefersfelden. My soccer days as a junior innkeeper were exciting, crazy and the people of Kiefersfelden made me feel very welcome. Together with the girls I met there, we founded the first women’s team in Kiefersfelden. I was the ball hog. There is still a women’s team today. For our coach at the time, we are still “the girls’ group” and we try to meet up once a year. We reminisce about our time in the sports home, the parties, sitting together until the sun came up again. The fact that we took over the Sportheim gave me an unforgettable time, which I like to remember and which always comes up when I am asked how I came to Kiefersfelden. It is still present through my son who plays soccer. It will always be a part of my history in Kiefersfelden.

The "Hechtsee", a lake in Kiefersfelden is a special place for me. In addition to the hustle and bustle that I have experienced here, I can simply switch off in nature. It’s a place where I’ve found peace and quiet and always enjoy going there. I often jogged along the Kieferbach stream until I reached the steps leading up to the lake from our village. The path through this beautiful scenery is always something special.
