LUKAS
When I was about 10 years old, I spend a couple of weeks at my grandpa’s in Kiefersfelden. I was there as my parents were on Vacation and I was able to watch our dog there. That was the first time I had spent more than an Afternoon there and I was absolutely astounded how much I loved it there. The mountains, the lake, the people everything already felt like home after a couple of days and as I went back home, I had known that one day I would move there, back where my family came from. Skip to a considerable number of years abroad I decided to move back to Germany and after a couple of months in the city I had the opportunity to move to Kiefersfelden. Immediately I had fell in love with the scenery again and had found friends my age. Now 4 years after moving back I’m still amazed by the views one can have from their backyard as well as from all my favorite locations.

"Returning to Kiefersfelden felt like coming home, even before I knew it would be."
This “Gamsbart” was passed down to me by grandpa, it is a traditional hat decoration which I only wear to special occasions. As these are quite rare to come across its nice to not just have bought it but instead have a connection and a story behind it that is has been part of the family.

*Gamsbart is a hat decoration made of chamois
hair that is part of the traditional costume.
My favorite place in Kiefersfelden ist he „Himmelmooshut“ on the Brünnstein. Ever since I was a little boy, I helped my grandpa look after this hut. We took the car up there is I was too little to walk up the mountain. We made sure everything was clean, mowed the lawn by letting in a couple of calves and checked if there were no cows by the spring as to make sure the water wasn’t contaminated. Now, years later I hike up the mountain and, on the way down, make sure I stop by the hut to check on everything as well as enjoy the view as well as peace and quiet together with cold drink on the house bench. For me there is no better place to calm down and think.
