I gave Kiefersfelden the name “the village on the border and the place where you hear the latest gossip at the Rewe checkout”. One of the customs in Bavaria that I like is the Kirtafest with Kirtanudeln as a traditional meal. Even though I would often like to be somewhere else, dahoam is simply my dahoam. Everyone knows everyone in the village. That creates trust, but at the same time I sometimes lack new input.

My parents’ wedding invitation was a gingerbread heart with the saying: ‘No love is as hot as the one between Bayer and Preiß’. This unique and creative idea shows the artistic streak of my father, who has a degree in design. I just think it’s cool how they expressed their love in such an original way. This gingerbread heart is my favorite object as it also symbolizes the love of my family in Kiefersfelden for me.
Every day I see this huge, disused cement complex out there. You wonder who forgot to turn off the light in the corridor again, don’t you? There’s something so mysterious about the place, even though it’s actually off-limits. But hey, curiosity sometimes wins out over the rules, doesn’t it?
